The incident, which occurred near 3100 West Lake Street in the East Garfield Park neighborhood, unfolded shortly before 8:45 p.m., with the woman trying to open the door of the in-motion train. After falling onto the tracks, she then fell another 15 to 20 feet, the truck broke her fall underneath, FOX 32 Chicago reported.
Chicago police explained that the woman sustained a fracture to her left leg. Responders transported her to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was, despite the circumstances, listed in good condition.
