Julian Brandon, a 25-year-old Yorkville resident, faces a robbery charge after allegedly mugging a 28-year-old man on a CTA train in early February, Chicago police said.
On February 6, around 4:00 p.m., Brandon is accused of forcefully taking property from the victim while aboard a train near the 100 block of E. Roosevelt Rd., authorities disclosed. Arrested on February 17, two weeks after the reported incident – his capture came as a result of an area investigation.
The Chicago Police Department's report states that Brandon is charged with one felony count of robbery. He remains in custody pending a detention hearing scheduled for today at the courthouse on 2600 S. California.
Further information about the case or possible additional charges has not been released. The circumstances leading to the identification and arrest of Brandon have also not been detailed at this time.
