
An 11-year-old girl is currently hospitalized and in stable condition after a near-drowning incident at a Phoenix apartment complex pool on Sunday. Fire Department crews responded to an urgent call from the apartment situated near 44th Street and McDowell Road after the child was discovered submerged in the water, as ABC15 first detailed the occurrence.
Upon their arrival, firefighters learned that the girl had already been rescued from the pool by bystanders, and CPR was administered before the emergency services took over the intervention witnesses at the scene, taking immediate action to sustain her life before the arrival of professional help, the girl was not breathing as per 12 News.
Subsequently, the young girl regained her breathing capability and was swiftly transported to Valley Children's Hospital, where she remains under medical supervision; the Fire Department confirmed her stable state, as detailed by 12 News.
