Atlanta's MomoCon Aims for Guinness World Record with Massive Spider-Man AssemblySource: Facebook/MomoCon

Get ready to swing by Atlanta, because MomoCon is calling on Spider-Man fans to help set a new Guinness World Record this year. Organizers are aiming to web together the largest gathering of people dressed as any and all variations of the iconic wall-crawler for a history-making moment. Spider-enthusiasts are asked to convene in their best superhero getups, complete with matching tops, bottoms, and full facemasks, at the Georgia World Congress Center on May 25, FOX5 Atlanta reports.

The record to beat is set at 638 Spideys in one location—a feat that will require a lot of teamwork and spandex. As the event gears up for it's second official world record attempt, they've called on none other than Yuri Lowenthal, the voice of Peter Parker in Marvel’s Spider-Man game, to cheer on participants as they try to snatch the title. With the convention taking place from May 24 to 27, the record attempt is scheduled for 2 p.m. on the 25, just outside the registration area, according to 11Alive.

But MomoCon is not just about Spider-Man; the event promises a full deck of panels, meet-and-greets, and various entertainment spanning video games, animation, comics, and more. Voice talents like Scott Weinger, Linda Larkin, and Vivienne Medrano will join the sprawling lineup of guests, and a talent-knack for jazz and blues will be showcased by the Bebop Bounty Big Band as a tribute to space cowboys, reports FOX5 Atlanta.

The challenge ahead for MomoCon is clear: gather more than 600 individuals decked out as Spider-Man to dethrone the current record holders. Anyone who agrees to participate consents to being snapped in a group photo, so get ready to hit your superhero's best pose on the grand stage. So, if you think you have what it takes to be a part of this spider-ambitious quest, Atlanta awaits your heroic arrival.
