That same west wind will continue to keep things brisk, and anyone stepping out should be ready to face a slightly chillier evening.

Sunday's forecast isn't looking quite as bright for the folks in Atlanta, with showers expected to roll in mainly after 2 pm. The chances of precipitation are pegged at 60 percent, so it's probably best for everyone to not leave home without an umbrella. These showers will dampen the otherwise mostly cloudy day that should see highs near 65 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Those looking forward to a clearer start to the week will find solace in Monday's sunny forecast. Temperatures, however, are expected to be significantly cooler with highs near 54. Additionally, be prepared for some gusty winds, with the northwest wind expected to blow 10 to 15 mph and gusts potentially reaching up to 30 mph. With the mercury dipping as low as 32 degrees come nighttime.

Thankfully, the chilly trend won't last long as Tuesday warms up with sunny skies and highs approaching 58 degrees. And the pleasant weather is set to roll on through the rest of the work week, hitting near 69 degrees by Wednesday.

The week's end could potentially bring more rain. Thursday night comes with a 40 percent chance of showers, and Friday ups the ante with a 50 percent chance. Both days will be mostly cloudy with highs near 62 degrees on Friday.
