The Austin Fire Department was called to the scene at approximately 2:27 a.m. to find the residence at 3402 Goodwin Avenue completely overtaken by the blaze, as reported by CBS Austin.
Despite the intense fire, crews were efficient in their response, quickly getting the situation under control and preventing the flames from reaching adjacent structures. An outbuilding in the vicinity was not so fortunate; already fully engulfed, it succumbed to the inferno and collapsed.
