The Austin Police Department is on the hunt for a suspect linked to a robbery that went down last month at a Dollar General in East Austin. The incident occurred in broad daylight, precisely at 1:27 p.m. on February 7, according to the Austin Police Department.
In an attempt to really bring the perpetrator to justice, APD's Robbery Unit is reaching out to the public for any leads. They've circulated a description of the man they're after – a black male in his 30s or 40s, standing over 6 feet tall with a thin build. He's got short, buzzed black hair and a distinct mustache/goatee combo. Last seen, he was sporting a basic white t-shirt, dark sweatpants, and some white and black tennis shoes, as per the Austin Police Department.
It's been reported that the suspect wasn't about to go down without a fight. He supposedly assaulted a store employee who had the guts to confront his shoplifting, as reported by the Austin Police Department. The Austin PD has provided photos of the suspect, hoping someone out there can put a name to the face.
