The city of Chanhassen has officially filled its top fire slot. Andrew Heger was sworn in as the city's second full-time Fire Chief on Monday, February 26, bringing with him nearly 23 years of firefighting and emergency response experience. Heger will lead a force that includes 26 paid-on-call firefighters, and 10 full-time firefighters, according to the City of Chanhassen, Minnesota Government.
Heger, whose career has been characterized by dedication, hit the ground running last week, eagerly joining the ranks of Chanhassen's bravest. Chanhassen, a city known for prizing public safety and community, counts on its fire department to uphold a standard of excellence, which, Heger's long-standing record suggests he is well-equipped to maintain. The city's new fire chief is expected to bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the force, honed from nearly a quarter-century in emergency service.
