
An officer of Fort Lauderdale Police Department was shot in the Harbordale neighborhood, triggering a substantial response from law enforcement Thursday morning. According to Local 10, the incident occurred near the crossroads of Southeast 17th Street and 15th Avenue.
Multiple units, alongside a SWAT team, gathered at the scene outside a Holiday Inn Express parking garage located on SE 17th Street, further disrupting traffic in the process. The officer, whose identity has yet to be released, was transported to Broward Health Medical Center for treatment, Local 10 reported the injuries were non-life-threatening.
