A Gallatin woman has been nabbed in connection with a road rage shooting that left a man dead in Madison over a year ago. Stefanie Hernandez, 27, faces a charge of second-degree murder for the death of 48-year-old Timothy Fetter in January 2023, according to Metro Nashville Police. The arrest was made at a Nashville home improvement store where Hernandez was employed.
The tragic incident occurred on Jan. 11, 2023, when police were called to the scene of a shooting in the 600 block of East Old Hickory Boulevard, at around 6 p.m. They discovered Fetter outside his red Pontiac GTO, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds after, someone in a light-colored sedan had fired several shots at him, WKRN reported. Fetter later died from his injuries at Skyline Medical Center.
Investigations revealed Hernandez was present during the fatal encounter. Police believe road rage may have been the motive behind the shooting and they anticipate making at least one more arrest in connection with the case. "The investigation shows that she was present when Fetter was fatally shot at his red Pontiac GTO car," authorities stated, as reported by WSMV.
Meanwhile, on Madison's south side, another woman was arrested for failing to appear in court on grave offenses. The Fitchburg Police Department, following up on a tip that the woman was staying at an apartment complex on the 2900 block of Index Road, executed the arrest. She had an active felony bench warrant for charges including Child Abuse-Intentionally Causing Great Bodily Harm and Chronic Neglect of a Child (Consequence is Bodily Harm), according to WMTV15 News. The woman had been evading court proceedings since February 2023.
