A fire erupted in an apartment complex in Coral Springs on Friday evening, causing severe damage and upending the lives of local residents. The flames tore through the apartments on the 3600 block of Terrapin Lane, a neighborhood previously untainted by such calamities.
As reported by TAPinto, Deputy Chief Mike Moser of the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department said that fire investigators are probing into what sparked the destructive event. The fire, which reportedly began on the first floor of the building, left several people bereft of their abode.
The Local 10 news outlet captured a resident's video showcasing the blaze as it raged through the Pak Place at Turtle Run complex. The American Red Cross has since stepped in, providing assistance to those who’ve been rendered homeless by the fire's wrath.
No injuries have been reported amidst the destruction, a small mercy in the face of such a sudden upheaval. The specifics of the damage are still unraveling as are the precise number of people displaced, while the Red Cross is currently aiding a family, their exact count remains unknown.
Local authorities are continuing to investigate the scene, and while the direct cause of the fire remains a mystery, the Coral Springs community is left to pick up the pieces.
