In the quiet of early morning, when most of East Memphis lay wrapped in slumber, violence erupted on the 4000 block of New Willow Road, landing a man and a juvenile in the hospital after a shooting on Thursday. Authorities rushed to the scene after reports emerged just after 1:30 a.m. of gunfire that pierced the night, according to Action News 5.
The adult male victim was transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital under circumstances that remain shrouded in uncertainty. His condition had yet to be publicly declared. The juvenile, caught in the unwarranted storm of bullets, was quickly spirited away to Lebonheur Children’s Hospital, gravely wounded and fighting for life in critical condition, as reported by Local Memphis.
