
A man was fatally shot in a south Phoenix neighborhood, and police are now on the hunt for the gunman. The shooting occurred yesterday afternoon around 4:15 p.m. near the intersection of 19th Ave and Southern Ave, as confirmed by the Phoenix Police Department.
Responding to a distress call, officers arrived at Wayland Road to find the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead due to the sustained injuries. The identity of the man has yet to be released to the public as the investigation is ongoing. According to AZFamily, police stated that the suspect managed to, quickly, leave the area before police could arrive.
