A man has been arrested after reportedly opening fire at a McDonald's drive-thru in Memphis. The altercation, which unfolded on February 19 at approximately 11:15 a.m., led to 22-year-old Teevon Garrett being charged with multiple counts of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment, according to local news outlet Action News 5.

Authorities stated that Garrett first entered into a heated exchange with an employee while at the drive-thru window. Garrett then proceeded to quickly come into the establishment, brandishing his firearm for patrons and workers to see. In a dangerous turn of events, the suspect exited and once again approached the drive-thru, this time discharging his weapon into the business. Despite nine individuals being inside at the time, thankfully no injuries were reported, FOX13 Memphis noted in their coverage.

Following the incident, the Memphis Police Department swiftly acted, leveraging video surveillance and other leads to identify Garrett as the alleged shooter. With a previous arrest record for domestic assault, a warrant for Garrett's arrest was issued, and he now faces nine counts of aggravated assault, as well as one count of reckless endangerment. He is currently being held at Shelby County Jail, with bond set at $500,000.
