Miami is in for a week of warming weather, with the mercury set to climb several degrees above the norm, forecasters say. According to the National Weather Service, today's weather in South Florida will be mostly sunny, featuring high temperatures near 81 degrees and east winds blowing at a gentle 6 to 10 mph. The NWS indicates that similar conditions will continue through to Friday and into the weekend, with highs gradually increasing.
The subtropical vibe won't just be courtesy of the sun; humidity levels are on the rise too, and winds are expected to shift come Saturday. "Partly sunny, with a high near 84. South wind 8 to 10 mph," the National Weather Service reports for the weekend outlook. Tonight's forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with an eastern breeze maintaining a low around 72 degrees.
However, the heat isn't here to stay. A much more pleasant change is on the horizon, with a front expected to roll through early next week. "Hang in there as a front will move through and bring a much more pleasant Tuesday and Wednesday," says NBC Miami’s weather forecast.
Capping off the warming trend, Monday is poised to sizzle with "highs in the upper-80s along with high humidity," according to NBC Miami. With a chance of showers and thunderstorms creeping into the forecast after 2pm, Monday promises to test the limits of locals’ tolerances for heat and humidity before the relief of the forecasted front’s arrival.
