Miami's downtown beats rebounded Saturday night as the Ultra Music Festival resumed – a welcome upgrade after a weather-induced shutdown on Friday left electronic dance music fans high and not so dry. The unwelcome pause happened as Friday’s festivities were shut down due to stormy conditions, prompting an early exit for attendees, with thousands evacuating around 9 p.m. through multiple exits, leading to some soaked spirits according to a WSVN report.

But the rave was back and bigger than ever on Saturday, with the Miami Police Department asserting the festival was under firm control, reporting minimal disturbances and only a singular arrest, crowds streamed into Bayfront Park, described as ultra-packed by attendees ready to beat back Friday's downpour memories, despite earlier showers and the remnants of chaos that City of Miami crews worked to clear, the bright Miami vibe prevailed as one attendee succinctly put it, "The night is really just starting" according to WSVN.

The electric lineup boasted a mix of international turntable talent, including Swiss duo Adriatique, France's David Guetta, and the Grammy-winning Calvin Harris from Scotland. Some 55,000 fans were expected over the UMF weekend, all funneled through stringent security overseen by Chief Manuel Morales of the Miami Police. "We search everybody as they’re coming in to make sure there are no weapons or illegal items," Morales said, underscored by the festival's attention to safety amid the revelry, as reported by Local 10.
