Friday promises a respite from the gray, offering "mostly sunny" skies and a comfortable high near 52, only to be followed by increasing clouds and gusty conditions on Friday night with lows hovering around 40 degrees. "Breezy, the west-southwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph," the forecast added.
The weekend won't be much of a retreat for those weary of winter's leftovers, as Saturday sees partly sunny conditions with steady temperatures around 43 degrees. It will, however, be accompanied by a "breezy, with a west-northwest wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph," creating a cool and brisk atmosphere.
As nighttime falls on Saturday, the citizens of Minneapolis can expect a partly cloudy sky, with a low of around 26 degrees and robust northwest winds adding to the chilling environment. The winds will persist into Sunday, with a partially sunny daylight period aiming for a high near 36 degrees, "Breezy, with a north northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph," indicates the official outlook.
The following week begins with promise, as Monday's sunshine brings daytime temperatures up to a high near 37. The nights, however, remain chilly, with an expected drop to around 26 under partly cloudy skies. The warm-up continues into Tuesday, reaching a more pleasant high near 46 before cooling down again at night to about 27 degrees.
Weather enthusiasts can look forward to a bright Wednesday, with "sunny, with a high near 53" rounding up the weather pattern. A westerly wind will keep things light and airy at around 10 mph, promising a beautiful lead-in to the latter half of the week.
