A high-speed crash on Interstate 96 in Detroit claimed the life of a motorcyclist and led to a subsequent collision on Tuesday night, according to state police. The victim, identified as a 23-year-old man from Farmington Hills, reportedly slammed into the back of a Ford Fusion while traveling at a high rate of speed. The accident occurred in an eastbound right lane near Scotten at around 8:55 p.m., as reported by The Detroit News.
Following the initial impact, the Ford Fusion was sent hurtling into an embankment and overturned, while the motorcyclist was ejected and skidded along the roadway.
