The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club is stepping up its game at First Horizon Park with a series of major upgrades. Leading the charge is a cutting-edge LED field lighting system that not only enhances visibility for players but also keeps the neighboring Germantown area from being bathed in light pollution. According to Clarksville Online, the lights were installed this February by Musco Lighting and replaced the outdated halogen bulbs, promising a brighter future for night games and reducing the environmental footprint.

Fan experience is set to hit new heights with light shows that will punctuate home runs and victories at the ballpark. Installed around six stanchions, these LEDs are part of a ballpark-wide safety and experience enhancement effort. As reported by MiLB's official site, Nashville Sounds COO and General Manager Adam English stated, "We're always striving to make First Horizon Park the best place for fans to have the most memorable experience possible." The same commitment extends to the new netting, which has been extended past the dugouts to four additional sections to increase fan safety.

According to OurSports Central, this ballpark, which has been the pride of Nashville's professional baseball scene since opening in 2015, has also introduced extended protective netting to shield fans from stray baseballs. The netting now stands 40 feet high, assuring extra safety without compromising viewing pleasure.

Improvements are not just confined to game-time safety. Comfort also scores big with the revamped Coors Light Home Run Porch. It now boasts lounge-style furniture and fans to beat the heat, while The Band Box has leveled up with new gaming options and furnishings for an enhanced social space. Since its inception, nearly 4.4 million fans have enjoyed the thrills of baseball in this park, a stat that undoubtedly aligns with the Sounds' track record of ranking in the top three for Triple-A attendance in the past three years. These recent changes signal a continued investment in the fan experience and player safety in a stadium already decorated with industry accolades, including the Professional Sports Field of the Year Awards, ENR Southwest's Best Projects Merit Award, and the Urban Land Institute Nashville's Excellence in Development Award.
