Monday Starts Clear, But Heat Builds Fast
Sunny skies will dominate Monday, with light south winds and a low around 75 Monday night. The National Weather Service in Nashville advises residents spending time outside to drink plenty of water, take frequent breaks and use air-conditioned or shaded spaces.
Tuesday looks even hotter, with a high near 99 and heat index values reaching 109. Wednesday and Thursday should remain sunny and near 99 degrees, while overnight lows in the mid-70s will limit the amount of relief after sunset.
No watches, warnings or advisories are currently listed for Nashville. Still, the absence of an official alert does not make extended exposure safe, particularly for outdoor workers, athletes, older adults and people with health conditions.
Rain Chances Stay Small As Weekend Relief Arrives
Friday brings a high near 96 with a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Saturday stays hot near 97 with another slight afternoon storm chance, while Sunday should turn mostly sunny and a little cooler at around 94.
For outdoor plans, the safest window will generally be early in the day, before afternoon heat peaks. Anyone working or exercising outside should slow down, seek shade often and avoid waiting for thirst before drinking water.
