A multi-vehicle crash turned into a raging inferno in Hallandale Beach on Saturday, but despite the dramatic scene, only one person was reported injured. According to Local 10 News, Broward County firefighters rushed to the collision point at West Hallandale Beach Boulevard and Northwest 10 Terrace, where they found a sports utility vehicle that had smashed into a tractor-trailer.
"We had one patient with a head laceration and possibly a broken finger," Battalion Chief Michael B. Kane, a spokesman for Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue, explained, battling the blaze which was caught on a witness's video. As per NBC Miami, the victim was transported to the hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening by Hallandale Beach PD.
The authorities are currently investigating the cause of the incident. While the fierce flames engulfed the vehicles, dramatically illustrated in photos shared by the fire rescue, officers have yet to reveal details on how the calamity unfolded.
