In a tragic overnight incident, one individual has been pronounced dead following a vehicular accident in Evergreen Park, Illinois, a suburb near Chicago, as confirmed by local authorities.
The collision, involving two vehicles, occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. Sunday on the 3400 block of West 87th Street near Evergreen Cemetery, the Chicago Fire Department and Evergreen Park Police Department responded to the scene where one person succumbed to their injuries and died, according to a report by WGN-TV. Two other individuals were critically injured and transported to an area hospital — overall, five people were affected by the mishap which left residents and commuters shocked, the reasons that led to the heartbreaking accident remain under investigation by the Evergreen Park police.
On Chicago's Southwest Side in the Ashburn neighborhood, the same incident resulted in a rollover crash also reported by the Evergreen Park police, consisting of two vehicles that had been heading eastbound on West 87th Street were found to have collided according to CBS News.
