A fatal collision on Monday afternoon has left one person dead after a dump truck veered across traffic in West Knoxville. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the driver of the truck, identified as 32-year-old Taylor Costner, inexplicably crossed four lanes before losing control and crashing into another vehicle. The incident occurred along Kingston Pike near the intersection with Amesbury Road, causing both vehicles to come abruptly to rest in a nearby parking lot, as reported by WATE.
The resulting impact from the crash led to the unfortunate death of 45-year-old Jamie Little, who was driving the other vehicle, a 2010 Infiniti G37. Authorities are currently considering potentially bringing charges against Costner, with the investigation actively ongoing. The crash sequence, as detailed by WBIR, began when Costner's 2020 Kenworth truck unexpectedly ran off the road and tore through a grassy space before colliding with Little's vehicle.
