A house fire in Phoenix sent emergency crews scrambling to rescue four dogs and seven puppies trapped within a home ablaze on Thursday morning. The incident unfolded near 19th Avenue and Rose Garden Lane, where firefighters were able to quickly, but efficiently isolate the fire to one bedroom and prevent it from reaching the attic and engulfing the entire house, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.

Upon arrival at 7:30 AM, crews began a vigorous search for any occupants, swiftly locating the pets and bringing them to safety. While the homeowners had managed to escape the danger before the fire department's arrival, all residents have been displaced owing to the extent of smoke and heat damage sustained by the property. Fortunately, no injuries to firefighters, neighbors, or animals were reported, as detailed by FOX 10 Phoenix.

A fourth-grade girl, identified by FOX 10 Phoenix as 'Scarlett,’ was home alone when the fire started and ran to a neighbor for help. “I heard the smoke alarm going off, and I saw smoke coming out of the room, so I went outside," Scarlett said, as reported by FOX 10 Phoenix. The neighbor, known as ‘Beverly,’ played a crucial role in alerting authorities, saying, "She knocked on my door crying, saying ‘my house was on fire.’" Beverly then added, "I was talking to the fire department while I was talking to her, and I could hear the dogs barking."
