The Arizona Department of Transportation is rolling out a freeway fiesta of closures and restrictions starting this weekend. From east to west, your usual dash down the tarmac is hitting some serious roadblocks, especially if US 60 or I-10 are your go-to routes. For those cruising eastbound on US 60 in Mesa, from Friday night to Monday morning, it's shut tight for pavement primping. The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) says the Superstition Freeway will be a no-go zone between Loop 202 and Crismon Road.
Traveling westbound on I-10 near the airport will squeeze down to three lanes between Broadway Road and 40th Street, According to a statement by ADOT And for good measure, if I-10 eastbound is where you're at, ditch the Ray Road off-ramp—it's down for the count this weekend for curb construction. Flip over to Chandler Boulevard instead.
Broadway Road is getting its moment, totally closed in both directions between I-10 and 55th Street in Tempe. This slice of the action is part of the I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project.
