Parton, during a conversation with Knox News on March 8, hinted that the "Lemonade" superstar covered her classic hit "Jolene" for her highly anticipated "Act II" album. "Well, I think she has! I think she's recorded ‘Jolene’ and I think it's probably gonna be on her country album, which I'm very excited about that," Parton revealed in the interview.
After giving the world a taste of her twang with a couple of country singles in February, Beyoncé stirred the pot showing that she can not only slay the pop and R&B charts, but also make a splash in the country scene as the first Black woman to top Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. "I'm a big fan of Beyoncé and very excited that she's done a country album," she posted, as mentioned in a Rolling Stone article. "So congratulations on your Billboard Hot Country number one single. Can’t wait to hear the full album," the country legend added.
