The search for 3-year-old Elijah Vue intensifies as Wisconsin authorities have singled out a vehicle of interest in the case of the missing toddler. Elijah has not been seen since February 20th, after being sent to learn "to become a man" by his mother, according to prosecutors. The car, a beige 1997 four-door Nissan Altima with a Wisconsin license plate starting with "A" and ending with "0," is now in the hands of law enforcement, as reported by NBC Chicago.
As the search continues past the two-week mark, the Two Rivers Police Department is calling on the community to review any surveillance footage captured between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. on February 19th. This request extends to residents in both the Two Rivers area and neighboring counties. Katrina Baur, Elijah's mother, is facing a felony count of party-to-a-crime child neglect and two misdemeanor counts of resisting or obstructing an officer, as per NBC Chicago.
Joint efforts involving the Wisconsin National Guard and the Department of Natural Resources conducted on-the-ground searches and inspections near Lake Michigan's shorelines and the Twin River. Adding to the momentum, the FBI has offered a $15,000 reward for anyone providing information that leads to Elijah's return and the apprehension of those responsible, as stated by NBC Chicago.
Meanwhile, the community is asked to support the search efforts by displaying blue and green ribbons and lights, while homeowners and businesses with potentially useful video footage are encouraged to upload it to assist the police. Those with any information on Elijah's whereabouts are urged to contact the Two Rivers Police Department at 844-267-6648 or submit a tip online via the FBI's website, according to the instructions detailed by KARE 11.
