A juvenile was struck by a car in Reading, and the driver has been detained by the cops. The accident occurred yesterday around 3:27 p.m., involving a pedestrian – a minor – and a vehicle on Lowell Street, according to police.
Responding to the scene, officers found a 15-year-old with what they described as "serious but not life-threatening" injuries. The juvenile was quickly transported to Massachusetts General Hospital for further care. The driver, identified as Liam Robinson, a 25-year-old from Woburn, hung around after the incident and has been fully collaborative with the authorities, according to a statement obtained by JGPR.
Robinson faced charges for operating a motor vehicle after his license suspension related to a previous OUI arrest, as detailed by Reading Police Chief David Clark. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and Reading Police have not brought forward additional charges at this time.
