A somber discovery in Tamarac, Florida as a woman was found shot to death in a residential home late Friday night. The Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO) is now piecing together the moments that led up to the fatal incident, according to Local 10 News.

Authorities responded to a call of a shooting at 11:43 p.m., at the 4500 block of Northwest 45th Court. On arrival they discovered the victim, already succumbed to her injuries inside the home, Broward Sheriff's Office spokesman Carey Codd stated in an email to Local 10 News.

The BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene units are currently investigating the scene. As of yet, there has been no public release of the victim's identity, nor has there been any information regarding potential suspects or motives in this seemingly senseless act of violence.

Officials are urging anyone who might hold a piece of this puzzle to step forward. “Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477,” NBC Miami reports.
