The robbery was reported to have happened around 5:14 PM on March 29, in the vicinity of 330 Rutherford Avenue following a Facebook Marketplace meet-up gone wrong, according to a statement from the BPD.
The man police are looking for is described as an Hispanic male, standing about 5 feet 4 inches tall, and clad in a gray hoodie, blue jeans, and pink and white sneakers at the time of the robbery. Notably, he bears a small tattoo on his left hand and is believed to go by the name “Roman.” In a concerted effort to bring the perpetrator to justice, the BPD has encouraged anyone who can provide useful information to reach out to District A-1/A-15 detectives at (617) 343-4571.
