Chicago police have reiterated their appeal to the public, seeking assistance in the case of Nicole "Runny" Johnson, the 16-year-old girl reported missing from the Bronzeville community. Authorities described the young girl, who stands at 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs around 115 pounds, and is characterized by her medium-brown complexion, black hair with shoulder-length extensions, brown eyes, and black race.

According to a Chicago Police Department statement, Johnson was last seen by her family on December 9, 2002. Subsequent sightings placed her in the 8700 block of South Cottage Grove and the 7900 block of South King Drive in Chicago on December 13, 2002. She was observed wearing blue jeans, a black jacket, and distinctive red & white jump shoes. While family members have been fraught with concern since her last sighting, the police have been following up on several tips that have come in from the community.

Extensive search efforts have been underway, as the authorities canvassed the neighborhoods where Johnson was reported to have been last seen.
