Residents of Chicago’s 18th District are being advised to stay vigilant following a series of armed robberies reported in the early morning hours of April 5, 2024. According to a community alert issued by the Chicago Police, these incidents occurred on the 300 block of West North Ave. and the 1800 block of North Clark St. Detectives are now actively looking to identify a vehicle and four male suspects linked to these robberies.

Investigators describe the suspects as four African American males, two roughly 5'05" and the others around 5'09", all of a thin build. Their ages have yet to be confirmed. Area Three Detectives urge anyone who may happen to recognize the pictured vehicle or the assailants to come forward and contact the police.

The police are offering safety advice to the community, emphasizing the importance of situational awareness and advising against pursuing suspects. "Always be aware of your surroundings," the police statement cautions. "If you are confronted by an assailant remain calm and remember any unique physical characteristics." The alert also suggests immediately dialing 9-1-1 if witnessing a robbery and asking witnesses to stay on the scene if possible.
