Clarksville, Tennessee was rocked by a deadly double shooting, leaving two young individuals dead and their families seeking answers. On the evening of April 8, the tranquility of the 600 block of Martin Street was shattered when gunshots rang out, leading the police to discover the bodies of Glenn Nicholson, 26, and Savannah Lumpkin, 30, as reported by WZTV.
According to an interview by WTVF, the parents of Glenn Nicholson Jr, Glenn Sr., and Shaqueta Nicholson, are struggling with the painful reality of their son's sudden demise, alongside his cherished girlfriend, Savannah Lumpkin.
"To be taken like this. They didn't deserve this. They were in the primes of their lives. This is the best time of a person's life," Shaqueta Nicholson told WTVF in a statement full of grief. The elder Nicholsons remember the couple fondly, Nicholson Sr. even went as far as to consider Savannah, who played a significant role in raising Glenn's young daughter, as his own. "At the end of the day, that was my daughter-in-law. There’s no ifs, ands, or buts about it. That’s my daughter-in-law; I loved her like my own child," he confirmed in the same interview.
Clarksville Police are appealing to the public for information. Detective Tim Green is now heading the investigation, with authorities urging anyone with knowledge of the incident to step forward.
