Dallas Police are on the hunt for two suspects involved in a brutal murder that has rocked the community. Denute Bell, 24, and Keylan Bowens, 18, have been identified and are wanted for their alleged involvement in the killing of Shaketta Johnson, a 30-year-old who was found shot to death in the early hours of April 13.
Responding to a call at around 12:30 a.m., officers discovered Johnson's lifeless body in a parking lot on the 4400 block of S. Marsalis Avenue. An initial probe into the violent incident determined that the suspects had opened fire multiple times into Johnson's vehicle before fleeing the scene, in what appears to quickly have become a dire situation for the Dallas community.
Details provided by the Dallas Police Department indicate that upon their escape, one suspect made a getaway in a blue Mazda sedan, while the other left in a black Mercedes that was not captured on the scene. Both cars were seen heading southbound from the location of the murder.
The Dallas Police Department has issued arrest warrants for both Bell, who is recognizable by his long hair, and Bowens, distinguishable by his cap. As law enforcement actively seeks to apprehend these individuals, they strongly urge the public to come forward with any information that could lead to locating and possibly quickly bringing these suspects to justice.
