Officials detailed the suspect as a 5'6" black male, on the slighter side, with darker skin who, after the assault attempt, fled without a shirt on and wearing only blue jeans; he snuck up on the woman outside her apartment near her vehicle and attempted to sexually assault her but she fought him off and he ran off, eluding capture, according to a statement obtained by DPD Beat.
The ordeal unfolded at approximately 2:00 a.m., and the victim managed to escape the assailant's clutches, prompting the man to take off from the scene, while investigators are now piecing together evidence and soliciting tips that might reveal the identity of the unknown assailant.
