
Dallas cops are scouring the city for a heartless hit-and-run driver who struck a 5-year-old boy last week – and then sped away, authorities said.
The child, who was walking with an adult, was mowed down on March 31 at around 11 p.m. in the 2600 block of Elsie Fay Heggins Street, near Malcolm X Boulevard, the Dallas Police Department disclosed, the incident left the young boy seriously injured but the driver didn’t stop to render aid and barrelled down the street, disappearing into the night.
Investigators have zeroed in on a suspect vehicle described as a gold, four-door car that was last seen heading westbound on Elsie Faye Heggins Street, the driver of the car did not provide information as required by law or try to help the injured child, police said.
