The demolition marks a significant move forward for residents and businesses alike. The Original Pancake House, which faced a near 40% drop in business, sees it as a light at the end of a very dark tunnel. "Business totally went down because of the road blockage," General Manager Darryl Newton admitted to FOX 5 Atlanta. He joins locals in counting the days until LaVista Road, a critical state highway, can finally reopen.
