Firefighters battled a blaze that ripped through a Denton County warehouse on Airway Boulevard yesterday afternoon, leaving one injured and a dog saved. Denton County Emergency Services District #1 was on the scene at 4:02 pm according to a Facebook post by the department.

Upon their arrival to the inferno, crews were faced with heavy flames making their way through the roof. Four people were able quickly to evacuate, and firefighters heroically rescued a dog from the burning structure. One individual, suffering from minor injuries, was treated at the scene and subsequently released.

The investigation of what sparked the blaze is being led by the Denton County Fire Marshal's Office. While the cause is still under wraps, the outcome could have been far worse if not for the collaboration among several departments. Special thanks were given to the Flower Mound Fire Department, Roanoke, TX Fire Department, Justin Fire Dept., Town of Northlake Police Department, and the Denton County Sheriff's Office for their assistance with the emergency.

As crews doused the dangerous flames, the community was reminded of the unpredictable nature of such disasters and the bravery of those who ran toward them.
