The weekend is set to bring a slight reprieve from the gloom, with Saturday showing us a slice of sun amidst partly sunny skies and a more forgiving high of 52. However, the night reminds us that winter's grip loosens slowly, ushering in a low at the freezing mark of 32 degrees, despite clear skies. Sunday keeps up the partial cheer with plenty of sunshine and a high of 53.

As we start the new work week, Detroiters should have their umbrellas at the ready. The forecast is calling for a chance of showers through Monday and Wednesday with highs inching up from 60 to a near-summery 64. Nights are forecasted to be milder too, with Monday and Tuesday hugging the mid-40s.
