A motor vehicle incident left a driver injured after a rollover crash in Franklin on Thursday morning.
The incident occurred roughly at 10 a.m. on Carlisle Lane, shaking up the quiet of the morning with the blare of sirens and the crushing sound of metal on stone. The Franklin Police Department reported that the solitary driver of a Honda Accord needed to be extricated from the vehicle post-collision. It had smashed into a rock wall and then disturbingly flipped onto its side, trapping the driver inside.

Emergency services, including both the Franklin Fire Department and Franklin Police Department, were dispatched to the scene where crews worked to carefully extract the injured party. "The driver was conscious and talking," the police department told WSMV in their coverage of the event. Following the rescue, the driver was transported to an area medical facility to receive treatment for injuries that were grave, yet thankfully, not life-threatening.
The aftermath of the crash saw Carlisle Lane temporarily closed but it was subsequently reopened to the regular flow of traffic around 10:45 a.m. Little more in the way of details was immediately made public, as investigating officials continued to work through the wreckage and piece together the moments leading up to and following the calamitous incident, Yahoo News confirmed.
