"I knew it would have an impact and I knew it was serious enough or else I wouldn’t have raised it but I didn’t quite anticipate the response," Merchant said in a statement obtained by Atlanta News First. As outcome of this challenge, Judge Scott McAfee ruled that either Willis or Wade must step aside. In response to the ultimatum, Wade tendered his resignation.
