A vehicle incident in Pinewood resulted in four children and one adult being hospitalized after their car crashed into a bus stop, authorities reported.
The accident occurred just after the 3 p.m. hour yesterday, near the busy intersection of Northwest 77th Avenue and 99th Street, as per NBC Miami. Miami-Dade Police stated that a car clipped another, the impact sending the latter vehicle careening toward a bus stop. Fortunately, the bus stop was unoccupied at the time of the crash, avoiding what could have been a more tragic event.
The victims, who were all traveling in the second vehicle, included two children rushed to a main trauma center and an adult with another two children transported to a local hospital, as fire rescue officials advised. Details on their current conditions have not been disclosed, but the elevation of some victims to a trauma center suggests serious injuries may have been sustained.
