A Homestead man faces charges after allegedly robbing a teen in Key Largo, authorities said. Shayvon Cortavius Givens, 20, is accused of assaulting and robbing a 14-year-old boy of jewelry worth over $3,200. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office reports the incident occurred in June 2023, when Givens allegedly punched the victim multiple times before taking the jewelry.

Following the incident, officials obtained an arrest warrant for Givens, and he was subsequently apprehended and booked into jail this past Thursday.
