Already buzzed about for its planned forays into Tualatin, Beaverton, or Hillsboro, the chain is seemingly not content to stop there, as documents filed with the city suggest an east Vancouver spot is also on the grill.
An application submitted on April 15 detailed a 3,800-square-foot restaurant with a drive-thru and outdoor seating. A pre-application conference is set to fully convene on May 9, in a bid to usher the process along before building permits can be drawn up. This new location, as KGW reports, would repurpose a former Rite Aid at 13511 S.E. Third Way, infusing new life into the vacant property.
Last week, fans of the chain in Washington County received conditional approval for a long-awaited restaurant at 10565 S.W. Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy., the news was broken by OregonLive. Despite some neighborhood concerns over increased traffic, the county is moving ahead with plans, eager to bring the California-based fast-food favorite to their streets.
Meanwhile, Ridgefield, Washington, is gearing up to potentially host the chain's first location in the Evergreen State, with a development application filed in February and a target opening year of 2025. Currently, In-N-Out has planted its flag in Oregon with locations in Keizer, Grants Pass, Medford, and Roseburg. The Keizer location holds the crown for being the closest to Portland, and so far, there seem to be no immediate plans to establish themselves directly within Portland or Multnomah County.
As In-N-Out aims to carefully spread its iconic red-and-yellow palette across the Pacific Northwest, fans eagerly anticipate the moment they can order their "Double-Doubles" and "Animal Style" fries without making a pilgrimage.
