The 57-year-old, whose identity has not been released, died after a team from the Knoxville Police Department (KPD) and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) carried out a search warrant at the Ammons apartment complex as part of a narcotics operation, as reported by WVLT.
The incident, which occurred around 9:20 p.m. on Sunday, took a tragic turn when the man claimed he was feeling unwell after his detainment.
