Chaos erupted in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday when a man and woman were arrested in connection with a shooting that left one injured. Maurice Biart, 40, and Sasha Salom, 42, face serious accusations following the midday violence. Biart has been slapped with an attempted murder charge, while Salom's charged for tampering with evidence, Fort Lauderdale police disclosed on Wednesday.
The distressing incident took place in the 5100 block of North State Road 7, according to Local 10 News. The area around the Plaza Hotel Fort Lauderdale turned into an investigative scene after gunshots rang out just after 1:30 p.m. Police and Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue personnel rushed to the scene, and a rapid response by an officer who provided "tactical medical care" may have saved the victim's life.
