
A bar brawl in Port Huron took a violent turn when a 41-year-old man allegedly stabbed a 28-year-old multiple times on Tuesday evening.
According to reports by CBS Detroit, the confrontation erupted at City Limits Tavern, situated at 2410 Conner Street, where after an initial clash the assailant left the premises but returned shortly armed with a knife, leading to further violence ensued and the suspect fled the scene after the stabbing, the local law enforcement detained him near the bar, where the crime occurred and the victim, hailing from Kimball Township, was promptly rushed to McLaren Hospital, and subsequently moved to a Metro Detroit medical facility for treatment of his injuries which were deemed not life-threatening.
A report from ClickOnDetroit states that the suspect is now behind bars at the St. Clair County Intervention Center and is expected to face charges of assault with intent to commit great bodily harm, incident to the altercation that initially sparked within the walls of City Limits Tavern and then spilled into violence.
The Port Huron Police Department is actively investigating the incident, urging anyone who might have additional information to come forward, they are openly calling on the community, through various channels for tips, all of which can be submitted anonymously, this includes the CAPTURE Hotline or through a text message tip system, details of which were provided by Voice News.
