Tragedy struck Chicago's South Side late Sunday when a 33-year-old man was gunned down, with police now on the hunt for a dark-colored car seen fleeing the scene. The fatal shooting occurred in the 8800 block of South Burley Avenue around 11:00 P.M., the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

Upon arrival, Chicago police discovered the victim, who has not yet been identified, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. He was swiftly transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, yet, despite the rapid response, was pronounced dead, according to officials. Police indicated that an individual or individuals in a dark-colored sedan is believed to have opened fire before speeding away from the blood-stained pavement, FOX 32 Chicago noted.
