Upon impact, Christopher struck the windshield of the 2021 Corvette, before landing in a grassy median. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Corvette, also 35, and a 21-year-old passenger, were transported to the Good Samaritan Medical Center by the West Palm Beach Fire Department, the police department informed the public. Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to have been factors in the deadly accident.
Following the incident, Southbound Australian Avenue was shut down from Werthington to Belvedere roads, according to a post on X from West Palm PD. This closure was to allow the Traffic Homicide Unit to conduct their investigation on site. The driver was taken to the hospital for evaluation while the female passenger emerged without injuries.

The WPBPD has not yet released further details about the investigation, nor has any information been provided regarding potential charges.
