Bryan Morera emerged as the frontrunner, bagging 29.41% of the votes while Esther Colon took a slight edge over Hector Abad for the second spot, securing her place in the runoff by a mere seven votes, this gap between them mirroring the slim participation in the electoral process with only 10.52% of registered voters casting their ballots, as per Miami-Dade County Elections, the vacancy stems from the resignation of former Vice Mayor Carlos O.
